Scoping in SAP Hybris cloud for customer

Objective
The objective of this document is to explain the scoping in SAP Hybris C4C.

Description
Scoping is the process of matching your individual business requirement to the predefined capabilities of SAP Hybris cloud for customer.

To do scoping. Go to Business configuration>>Implementation Project>>New
Here, we are selecting the edit project scope because the project is already exists in the system




Click on Edit Project scope Icon. Scoping is done by following the six steps




1. Country and Type of Business

In this step, Select the countries where you have to implement the solution. This allows you to include country specific settings like language and financial.

Click on edit countries link to add the countries. Select the countries in the list. You can select multiple countries.



Click on the next icon to navigate to next step.

 
2. Implementation Focus
In this step you need to select the solution to be implemented. You can select sap cloud for customer and click next to proceed.


3. Scoping

In scoping step, it will display all the scoping elements in the left side of the screen. You need to select the required scoping element according to your business needs. Scoping Element has a sub elements. Some of the sub element will be auto selected based on the element selected on the top level. It can be viewed in dependency tab. Many of the scoping elements are selected automatically and cannot be deselected.



Click next icon to continue.

4. Question
During this phase of scoping your implementation project, you must review a set of questions to further define the capabilities of your solution. Most of the questions require only that you either select the feature to be in scope to turn it on, or deselect (or not select) the feature to turn it off. Again, based on best practices, the system has pre selected features that you can accept or, where possible, adjust. Some features are mandatory for your scope and cannot be changed.



After you check the checkbox, the status can be changed to set as reviewed.


Click next to continue

Note: For the questions not reviewed, based on best practice sap will select.



Click yes to proceed.

5. Review
Based on your scoping, system will generate three files. They are

Your Solution proposal- Executive summary
Your solution Proposal-comprehensive summary
Your Notes summary –If you have added any notes during scoping. You can view here.


You can also maintain the description of the project, stat date and end date.Click finish to end the scoping process.



6. Confirmation

In confirmation phase, you can view the scoping results. Click close to end the scoping process.



Based on your scoping, activities are generated. It is classified in five phases. You need to complete all the activities in these five Phases.
1. Prepare
2.Fine Tune
3. Integrate and extend
4.Test
5. Go live


1. Prepare


The Prepare phase contains all the preliminary activates you need to carry out to get your company ready to use productively. The activities in this phase are mainly related to project management and include reviewing the project plan, confirming the scoping has been completed and transferring knowledge to administrators. You can also create your own activities manually and add them to the activity list.


2. Fine Tune

In this phase you will find all the mandatory configuration activities that you need to complete in a logical sequence. Here you will adjust or tailor the predefined settings according to your business requirement.

3. Integrate and extend
In this phase, Data migration is done by using data templates or initial transfer of the data is done.

4. Test
The test phase contains activities that allow you to define test scenario and guides, verify that your core business process are running as expected and transfer knowledge to end user before go live.
 
5. Go Live
The Go Live phase includes the final activities that you must complete to enable your solution to be used productively in your company. Typical activities include preparing and performing cutover, setting up internal support teams, and confirming that you are ready to go live. At the end of this phase, all mandatory and outstanding configuration issues are resolved, legacy data is migrated to the production system, knowledge transfer is complete, and the project is signed off and closed. Once go live is done, the edit scope icon is graded out. Any changes can be done by raising change order to sap.
